XERO SHOES REVIEW

Feel the Freedom. Feel the Fun. Feel the World!®

Xeros Shoes

Disclaimer: It's not a partnership with the brand. It's just my true opinion.

Have you seen my possession check #1 article? I only own two pairs of shoes. Amazing, right? #proudminimalist

About 6 months ago, I watched a video of a Brittany Taylor, a minimalist youtuber, talking about Xero shoes and the benefits of barefoot shoes. I am always barefoot at home and don't really like wearing socks. That's why I only have 5 peers of them! I had no idea what barefoot shoes meant, so I went and had a look at their website.

And there it was. The cloud, a hurrache style of shoes, with the promised feeling of walking barefoot. I was sold. I thing the mint color.

I ordered them about 3 weeks after, giving me some time to really think about my purchase (I rarely buy something on impulse!). Paid them around $50 with shipping to France, which was quite expensive, but I wanted to try them so bad! It was treating myself, and there is nothing wrong about it 🙂

I have to say, it took me some time to adjust with the 3mm sole, but after a few days, I was in love with them!

I threw my old and worn out flip flops, and replaced them with my Cloud shoes.

Why are they so great?

  • They are lightweight, and I really mean it!
  • You can easily pack them in your backpack, they roll so small.
  • The pricetag isn't too high, they often have sales on their website

Here is a picture of the clouds:

After a few months, my pair of beloved sneakers were so worn out, they were so uncomfortable to wear them anymore. I needed a new pair of shoes. I said to myself, I love my Xero shoes so much, let's have a look of the other shoes they have. I wanted something ligthweight for my travels, black, because black goes with everything of race!

I have never been a huge fan of hiking – looking shoes, or sneakers, I wanted something a bit more casual – looking like.

I finally found the ones. Lena, what a cool name. They were on sale. $39.99 instead of $79.99. I was sold, again. I already had a great experience with the clouds.

To make sure it was the perfect size, you can easily download and print out an easy sizing guide. Because I live in France, I am not familiar with US sizes. The sizing guide really helped me.

About 2 weeks after my purchase, I received them. I gotta say, they are a bit too big, but they are perfect with socks! And by the way, please wear socks with closed-toe shoes 🙂

You get them with a removable 2mm inner soles, so a total of 5mm shoes all together. I really appreciate the extra padding under my feets.

So, that's how I only own two shoes. And they are perfect for me!

How many shoes do you own? How below 🙂
